Amaranthe, Engel , Santa Cruz @ Rescue Rooms, Nottingham 21-3-15
We traveled via Newark so we could pick up Kristina from the train station. The plan for the day was beers/gig/beers & maybe up Rock city afterwards. Once checked into our hotel in Nottingham, we took a taxi to the city to do some “sight seeing” 🙂 Robin Hood had a smelly armpit 😉 We also went to the oldest pub which is set in the caves.
We were lucky my mate Steve turned up at The Sal. Seems they’d changed the doors time to what was on our tickets. So we hot footed it to venue. Quite a few there, but we still got a nice spot on raised area. Decent gig. Afterwards there was indecision about where to go : The Doghouse to see the Smash guys (Amaranthe were going) or just straight up the pubs. We went Pit & Pendulum 🙂 Oh yeah, there was some lass who took a shine to my t-shirt ,or was it me ? lol

Myself & Cat flew up for this one. We met Kristina in Glasgow & went for drinks etc 🙂 Wasn’t a very nice day (was pissing it down afterwards). At the M&G i gave the band a box of cakes which had various Halestorm related photos on them. They seemed to like them. Detroit was quick to make sure she got the one with her on it 🙂 Once inside, we managed to get Kristina down the front with us. Another great gig. I’ve finally been to Barrowlands after all these years ! Afterwards we ended up at the Cathouse & who should also turn up but Halestorm & the guys from Wilson. So we were drinking with them. Overall a great day/night…just a shame about the end of night stuff between the girls 🙁
In This Moment , Fearless Vampire Killers , Starset @ Koko, London 5-3-15
Whilst queuing up, Randy wandered by to get a coffee. We got a cool photo with him. After a while, the kids near the front realised it was Randy who went to Costa. Was quite funny to seem him as “the pied piper” bringing everyone back to venue (He also posted my photo on his old personal page). We managed to get down the front. Starset once again put on a strong show. I like how different they are to anything out there. ITM were as good as they were recently in Glasgow. It’s obvious it’s the “Maria show”, but it all works so well. Again a great gig.
