This was the queue to get the tickets (some time back)
I got there very early for this one. First person i saw was Rich (?) who i’d met when we queued up for the tickets back whenever. Truth be told, i probably shouldn’t have gone to this gig as i had a leg infection & was in agony ! But hey, it’s such a special gig i HAD TO do it, no matter 🙂 I was in the balcony & the lighting was awful. The spots were pointing straight out & the video clips i made are very poor & over saturated. But whatever, i enjoyed the show as best i could…& tbh couldn’t wait to get home as felt like passing out due to the leg pain !
Thanks to my mate Greg & in turn his mate Scott, we had AAA passes for the show! Got to see two different sets by Anthrax. One of which, was in a tent
The other one was on open air stage.
Kerry King (Slayer) walking to his buggy to take him to the stage 😉 By total fluke, my friend Tess got in the photo 🙂 (we didn’t know each other then)
The Prodigy were great !
I think it was Maxim who came out into the crowd & went back to it, past us. Backstage we got some photos with Anthrax
Saw an exclusive acoustic set by Ally from The Virginmarys
The clip i posted of them has had over 1 million views !
I quite like this venue. It’s a nice size & can get a real good view of everything from the balcony. Tonight we got a reasonable balance of the oldies but goldies plus a few newer songs.
The end of the main set, they finished with the classic “Heart Of Glass”
One of the biggest surprises was they played ” Hollywood Babylon” (A cover by The Misfits). The show finished with eternal favourites “In The Sun” & “Dreaming”
This was a great day out. I think they were having trouble shifting tickets as we got ours as 2 for the price of 1. Surprisingly, this was the first time i’d been to my namesake place. So a photo had to be took at the tube station.
I was VERY surprised by Aerosmith. Previously i didn’t think much to their live performance, but, tonight was fantastic. Exactly how they should be. Didn’t think much to Richie Sambora, loved the Jezabels, Thunder were Thunder & of course, Heavens Basement rocked.
