Great line up & great gig apart from Dio cutting show short because someone threw something up onstage or something. Honestly, why ruin it for everyone else? I lost a lot of respect for Dio after this gig. By coincidence, there were some other people from Boston, who we didn’t really know, at this gig. One of them got kicked out after throwing soap (?) during Queensryche (Winnie, care to elaborate?)

Not a great venue, but was worth trying it out. Something i remember about this one was coming home : It was/had been raining & our driver was really driving too fast & we were aqua-paining. But we lived to tell the tale…

This was an (un) organised bus trip we went on. At the time,it was an uncommon thing for peeps to be travelling to other countries for gigs.There was only a couple of companies doing it. We had a hotel in Frankfurt the night before the gig. It was still a long drive to Karlsruhe though ! When we got to the stadium the next day,we weren’t early enough: still queued up outside whilst Accept were on.We saw every other band though. This was also the last but one gig that Dave lee roth played with Van Halen !! A good experience,but, the bus journey was a killer.

After Dios UK debut at Monsters of Rock,Castle Donington, i just had to see a headline show. He certainly didn’t disappoint. Not only did he have the old classics from previous bands he’d been , he also had fantastic songs from his debut Dio album ” Holy Diver “. Oh what a night !

Diamond Head were good, Dio was great, Twisted Sister were fantastic, ZZ Top were seemingly just going through the motions, Meatloaf was pretty poor, Whitesnake were great.
