Went on a bus trip. I remember i’d only started working this year & straight away i was asking for time off to go to a gig….that’s happened a lot more in the years since then 😉
EDIT 5-19 : After all this time, I’ve found a bootleg of this show. I guess tape trading had it’s benefits (eventually) Shame they got the venue wrong though :
Maiden @ De Montfort was always a great night out. Don’t think i ever experienced a bad audience there. This was the “Piece Of Mind” tour. Nicko McBrain had just joined. I loved the start of this show, with a long intro & then pounding into “Where Eagles Dare”. Then straight into “Wrathchild” & ” Revelations”. Plenty of new songs played from the new album (& the right ones lol). On this tour i saw Maiden twice, but, i decided on the next one i would try follow them around the UK as much as i could….
