New Model Army, Loud, Padd , @ Queens Hall,Bradford 27-8-92
This was a pretty low key gig for NMA. It might have been for charity or something? Interesting thing was that ex members or Loud were also playing in their new band Padd. Crazy as it sounds, i drove up to this, then back the same night. The following day i drove back up to Leeds to see Loud !
Loud, @ Marquee Club,London 15-7-92
Through a bit of luck i bumped into my old mate Dave Ling. He was there to do an interview with Chris. I told him how much i loved Loud & when Andy Farrow (Their manager from Northern Music Company) arrived, Dave asked if i could sit in on the interview & it was ok’d. That was cool & interesting. Back then, i had a camera that used film & took a few photos with Chris etc. Unfortunately, when i went to collect the developed photos, they told me the film had split down the middle & all photos were lost. Not only that, but, the same film had photos from Iron Maidens Fear Of the dark playback in Norwich. All lost. Gutted.
P.S. Dave, i’d still love to hear that interview again…
Loud, disco 2, @ Rock city, Nottingham 27-6-92
Not very busy at all. There were a bunch of us who’d travelled from Boston. Otherwise, i guess it was pretty much just Louds usual travelling fans. Despite small crowd, it was still a great night out.
Loud, New England, @ The Waterfront, Norwich 30-4-92
I cannot remember if i knew beforehand that New England was the band that local lad Paul McKenna or not. I was there for Loud. They were awesome as ever. If i remember correctly, the show was recorded & tracks featured on a single.
